Dr Nick Ujdur

Chiropractor · Wellbeing Chiropractic Tarneit

I’m Dr Nick Ujdur, chiropractor at our Tarneit clinic. Motorsport injuries made me a patient before New Zealand made me a practitioner, a Diploma in Health Sciences at AUT then four years at the New Zealand Chiropractic College, with the 2014 Mackay Scholarship along the way. Training sent me out with six core techniques, Gonstead, Diversified, Activator, Upper Cervical specific, Thompson drop table and extremity adjusting, and a whole-body way of reading biomechanics. Rebuilding from my own injuries is why finding your actual root cause matters more to me than a quick once-over.

What lands in Nick’s diary

Bodies that beat one-technique care

Some problems shrug off a single method. Six trained techniques mean Nick changes the approach mid-plan when your body votes, mixing methods day to day as findings shift.

Complaints beyond the spine

Extremity adjusting brings shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and ankles into scope, useful for Tarneit’s tradies, lifters and weekend athletes.

The mystery recurrence

Whole-body biomechanical assessment exists for the ache that keeps returning. Nick tracks the chain until he finds the link actually responsible.

First visits with Nick run whole-body by default: history, biomechanical assessment across the kinetic chain, and an explanation of the root cause he is targeting, not the symptom he is silencing. Treatment draws from six core techniques, Gonstead precision through to Activator lightness, matched to the findings and to you. Cases that belong with a GP or need imaging first hear that in the first conversation.

Trained across the Tasman, tested by service

Motorsport gave Nick his first taste of chiropractic from the patient’s side of the table. Multiple injuries in his youth, and the care that rebuilt him, convinced him to learn everything the profession could teach, and to pass it on.

He completed a Diploma in Health Sciences at AUT University in Auckland, then four years at the New Zealand Chiropractic College, graduating trained in six core techniques: Gonstead, Diversified, Activator, Upper Cervical specific, Thompson drop table and extremity adjusting. The 2014 Mackay Scholarship recognised him along the way.

Service threads through the story. He volunteered with Heal Christchurch after the 2011 earthquakes, joined a care mission to the Rarotonga Islands, and sat as a member of the 2015 World Congress of Chiropractic Students AGM in Atlanta. At Tarneit, that global grounding turns into local, practical care: whole-body assessment, mixed techniques and a stubborn focus on the root of the problem.

Six tools, one target

Nick assesses the biomechanics of your whole body and gets down to the root cause before choosing his method. In practice he uses a mixture of techniques every day: Gonstead specificity where analysis calls for it, Thompson drop table or Activator where lighter force suits, Upper Cervical work where the top of the spine is the story, and extremity adjusting where the problem never lived in your back at all.

Plans answer to findings. When your body responds, the technique stays. When it stalls, Nick has five more ways to ask the question.

“A six-technique toolkit is not showing off. It is what taking root causes seriously looks like when bodies refuse to match the textbook.”

Questions patients ask

A detailed system of chiropractic analysis and specific manual adjusting. It emphasises finding exactly which segment needs work and leaving the rest alone, which suits Nick’s root-cause style.

Yes. Extremity adjusting is one of Nick’s six trained techniques, and whole-body biomechanics means limbs get the same rigour as spines.

Through the injury list. Recovering from multiple motorsport injuries in his youth put Nick under chiropractic care, and the experience convinced him to learn the craft and help people the same way.

A Diploma in Health Sciences from AUT University in Auckland, followed by four years at the New Zealand Chiropractic College, where he received the Mackay Scholarship in 2014.

Yes. The Madden Blvd desk processes all major funds on the day, so the fund’s share comes off up front and the paperwork never follows you home.
