AHPRA REGISTERED CHIROPRACTOR

Dr Nattasha Disciascio

Chiropractor · Wellbeing Chiropractic Liverpool & Parramatta

I’m Dr Nattasha Disciascio, an AHPRA registered chiropractor across our Liverpool and Parramatta clinics. Sport carried me here: NPL football and futsal through my teenage years meant plenty of time on physio tables, where I memorised the taping patterns and became the unofficial strapper for my teammates. Chiropractic won the race for my imagination, so I spent four years as a chiropractic assistant while completing my degree at Macquarie University, and graduated in 2024 already fluent in the rhythm of a busy clinic. My method starts at the root cause and works forward from there.

What fills my diary at Liverpool & Parramatta

The gym-goer with a grumbling shoulder

Training hard is a good habit until a niggle starts programming your sessions for you. I work out the driver, settle it down, and build the plan that keeps you moving.

Every age through the same door

Family care means the school kid, the shift-working parent and the grandparent each get care matched to their stage of life rather than a standard routine.

The Western Sydney commute-&-desk day

Long drives bracketing longer screen hours stiffen necks and lower backs. Targeted care plus small changes at the desk shift more than most people expect.

Whatever the presentation, my process holds its shape: a proper history, a careful examination, then a clear explanation of what I think is driving the problem before any care begins. I would rather find the cause than chase the symptom, because relief that ignores the cause usually books a return trip. And when what I find belongs with a GP or another practitioner first, you’ll hear it straight and leave with the referral organised.

From the taping table to the adjusting table

Representative football came with a standing appointment on the physio table, and I made the time useful: I watched every wrap and memorised the patterns until I could tape a knee or an ankle myself, which made me the go-to strapper in my team. That habit of studying the fix turned into a career direction. Allied health was the obvious path, chiropractic looked like the most exciting version of it, and Macquarie University made it official in 2024.

The degree only tells half the story, because from 2020 to 2024 I worked as a chiropractic assistant, so by graduation day I had four years of real clinic craft behind me. Since then I’ve added Dry Needling Certificates 1 and 2 and returned repeatedly to Gonstead seminars, for the philosophy as much as the technique. I’m a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association and part of the Gonstead community.

Sydney is home and always has been. My weeks run between Liverpool and Parramatta, and outside the clinic you’ll find me in the gym, cooking, hunting down a good meal out, or at the beach with my husband and our Samoyed, Snowy, who remains convinced the whole outing is for him.

Find the cause, fix the pattern

First visits run wide on purpose: your history, your training or work load, then a structured examination of how your spine is actually moving. I explain what I’ve found in plain terms and we agree on the plan before care starts, because you should always know what happens next in your own treatment.

Care pairs specific, Gonstead-informed adjusting with dry needling where stubborn muscle tension is part of the picture, and the plan always includes the between-visit layer: the warm-up, the desk tweak, the habit that stops the repeat. Progress gets measured against your goals, whether that’s a return to sport or a pain-free school run.

“I learned my first clinical skill by watching from the physio table. Studying the pattern before fixing the problem stuck for good.”

Questions patients ask

Gonstead is a system built on thorough analysis: finding the specific segment that needs help and adjusting that, rather than working generally. I’ve attended multiple Gonstead seminars for both the philosophy and the hands-on technique, and that specificity shapes how I practise.

Fine needles go into tight muscle to release tension that hands-on work sometimes can’t reach on its own. Most people feel a brief ache rather than pain, and it’s always optional: care plans work with it or without it.

That’s my favourite caseload. I played representative football and futsal, so training loads, niggles and comeback timelines are familiar ground. We’ll manage the problem without benching the habit wherever that’s possible.

Whichever sits closer to your week. I practise at both, your notes travel with me, and the care is identical. The online booking system shows current times for each clinic.

Yes, all major health insurance funds go through at reception at both clinics, so with chiropractic on your extras you settle the gap and nothing more.
