Dr Joshua Condon

Chiropractor · Wellbeing Chiropractic Kellyville & Penrith

I’m Dr Joshua Condon, chiropractor across our Kellyville and Penrith clinics. I trained at Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science then a Master of Chiropractic, and Macquarie drills the assessment side of the job hard, which suits me: working out what is actually driving a presentation is the part I would least want to rush. My care pairs manual spinal adjusting with corrective exercise and practical habit change between visits, because the hours outside the clinic decide most of the result. Kellyville and Penrith run on different working weeks, and the plans I write respect that, built alongside my patients toward goals we set together on day one.

Most of what I treat was months in the making.

An hour on Windsor Rd, twice a day

The Hills commute is long, seated and stop-start. By Thursday the lower back is tight getting out of the car and the neck has settled into a position it doesn’t want to leave.

Early starts at the Penrith warehouse

Repetitive lifting and reaching on shift, week after week. The back tightens through the roster and a weekend off never quite resets it.

A toddler on one hip

Car seats, cots, the same hip every time. Parents around Kellyville often come in with one-sided lower back or mid-back complaints that make sense the moment we talk through a normal day.

By the time someone books in at Kellyville or Penrith, the pain has usually been building for a while. There’s often a job in it somewhere, or a commute that eats two hours a day. The first appointment is where we trace it: full history, thorough physical assessment, imaging only if it’s required. Once I understand what’s driving the presentation, we agree on goals and build the care plan against them. In my experience, treating the sore spot without addressing the pattern behind it doesn’t hold for long.

Two degrees, two clinics

I trained at Macquarie University, completing a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science in 2020 and a Master of Chiropractic in 2022. Macquarie drills the assessment side of the job hard, and I’m glad it does. Working out what is actually driving a presentation is the part of chiropractic I’d least want to rush.

Now I practise across our Kellyville and Penrith clinics. They’re different suburbs with different working weeks, and that shapes the care I provide. What doesn’t change is how I want to work: alongside my patients, toward goals we’ve set together at the first visit. Everything that follows gets measured against those goals.

The other thing I’ll be upfront about is habits. Adjustments and corrective exercise matter, but so does what happens between appointments. Part of my job is helping you build routines that support the treatment instead of undoing it.

History first, hands second

Your first visit follows a set order. We go through your full history, then a thorough physical assessment, and I’ll refer for imaging only if it’s required. From there we agree on goals, yours and mine, and map out a care plan to reach them.

Treatment usually combines manual spinal adjustments with corrective exercises prescribed to your assessment findings. Around that, we work on the daily habits that either support the plan or quietly undo it. I’d rather give you two exercises you’ll actually do than a printed sheet of ten.

“Adjustments help, but the habits you keep between visits do a lot of the work.”

How I work in the treatment room

Manual spinal adjustments

Hands-on adjustment of spinal joints to improve movement in segments that aren’t doing their share.

Corrective exercise

A short, specific exercise list built from your assessment findings, not a generic handout.

Habit building

Practical changes to how you sit, lift and sleep, so the week between appointments works for you rather than against you.

Questions patients ask

Yes. Both Kellyville and Penrith have HICAPS, so if your extras cover includes chiropractic you can claim from all major funds at the desk and finalise the gap at the desk. Bring your fund card to the appointment.

We start with your full history, then a thorough physical assessment. If imaging is required I’ll arrange it, but only then. We finish by agreeing on goals and mapping out a care plan, so you leave knowing what we’re working toward and why.

Only if the assessment lands on something imaging would clarify. If a scan isn’t going to change your care plan, I won’t send you for one.

Almost certainly. Corrective exercise is a core part of how I work, alongside adjustments. I keep the list short and specific to your assessment so it actually fits into your week.

No. You can book directly with me at Kellyville or Penrith. If you’ve already seen a GP or another practitioner about the problem, bring any reports or imaging along, they’re useful context.

Either works. I work at both our Kellyville clinic on Windsor Rd and our Penrith clinic on Fulton St, and the approach to your care is the same at each.
