Dr Tejal Naidu

Chiropractor · Wellbeing Chiropractic Camden

I’m Dr Tejal Naidu, chiropractor at our Camden clinic on Argyle Street, consulting in English or Hindi. Macquarie University carried me through the Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Master of Chiropractic, with Certificate III and IV in Fitness finished alongside, a pairing that still shapes my practice: what you do between appointments matters as much as anything on the table. The areas I keep building are paediatric care, where I hold a dedicated certification, and women’s health, where Webster technique supports my pregnancy care, so a good part of my Camden week is spent with young families. General spinal care runs through everything, practised as an ACA member.

What a Camden week brings through the door

36 weeks & counting

Your pelvis aches by evening, rolling over in bed has become a two-stage manoeuvre, and you want care from someone who works with pregnant bodies every week, not occasionally.

A brand new passenger

Your bub seems to prefer turning one way, or fusses when laid flat, and you’d like someone certified in paediatric care to take a gentle, careful look and explain exactly what they find.

The work van & the weekend

Trades and long drives fill the week around Camden, and the low back pays for both. By Sunday the mower feels like a bigger job than it used to be.

My Camden week is a genuine mix. Young families are the part I’m best known for, expectant mums, newborns and the parents doing the carrying, and alongside them I see plenty of back and neck pain, headaches, posture-related complaints and sporting injuries. Every presentation gets a proper assessment before we go further. From there, low-force options like Activator and SOT mean care can be shaped to a pregnant body, a small child, or an adult who would rather not be adjusted by hand.

From Macquarie to Argyle Street

I took my Bachelor of Chiropractic Science at Macquarie University in 2022 and stayed on for my Masters, finishing in 2024. In the same year as the Bachelor I also finished my Certificate III and IV in Fitness, and that pairing still shapes how I practise. What you do between appointments, how you move, how you load your body, matters as much as anything that happens on the table.

The areas I’ve kept building on since are paediatric care and women’s health. I hold a certification in paediatric chiropractic and I use the Webster technique in pregnancy care, so a good part of my week at Camden is spent with young families. I’m a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association, and I consult in Hindi as well as English.

Outside the clinic, I run an exercise class for seniors with Sydwest Community and Multicultural Services, and once a year I pack a bag for the Fiji Medical Camp, a week of pro bono chiropractic work in Fijian villages. That week resets my perspective better than anything else I do.

How your first visit runs

I want to find what’s driving your problem before I treat it. So a first visit starts with a real conversation and a thorough assessment rather than a quick once-over, and before any care begins I’ll explain what I’ve found in plain language. You should feel confident about the plan, not merely agreeable to it.

From there we build care around your long-term health, with techniques chosen to suit you rather than the other way around. Gentle instrument work for one person, hands-on adjusting for another. What I love about this work is helping people get back to whatever they’d put on hold, sometimes nothing bigger than lifting their toddler without bracing first. Watching a patient’s confidence grow is the most rewarding part of what I do.

“Every patient deserves to feel heard, understood and confident in their care.”

How I work in the treatment room

Diversified

Traditional hands-on adjusting, applied specifically after assessment. Still the mainstay for many adult presentations.

Activator

A pen-sized instrument doing gentle, precise work. A gentler option that suits children, older patients and anyone wary of manual adjusting.

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)

A low-force approach using padded blocks and careful positioning to work on pelvic and spinal mechanics, useful right through pregnancy.

Webster Technique

A pregnancy-specific assessment and adjustment approach focused on pelvic balance and comfort as your body changes from trimester to trimester.

Questions patients ask

Yes. I consult in Hindi as well as English, so if you or a family member would rather talk through your health in Hindi, add a note when booking.

Yes, we have HICAPS at Camden for all major funds, so if your extras cover includes chiropractic you can claim on the spot and handle the gap at reception.

No, you can book straight in. Bring any recent scans or reports if you have them, wear something comfortable, and allow a little extra time for the first visit so we can do a proper history and assessment.

I do, and paediatric care is one of my special interest areas. I hold a certification in paediatric chiropractic, and the techniques I use with little ones are very gentle and low-force, nothing like an adult adjustment. Every child gets a careful assessment first, and if I think another practitioner should be involved, I’ll say so and help arrange the referral.

Care that changes as you do. I use the Webster technique alongside low-force approaches like SOT and Activator, with positioning adapted so you’re comfortable on the table at every stage. I’m also happy to work in with your GP and maternity team where that’s useful.
