Strictly Therapeutic

Kimberley Kelu·Remedial Massage Therapist

I’m Kimberley Kelu, a diploma-qualified remedial massage therapist and the owner of Strictly Therapeutic, practising from Wellbeing Chiropractic Baulkham Hills six days a week. I came to massage from teaching and community health, and I still think like an educator: each session includes an assessment, a care plan and aftercare you can carry on at home. I see everyone from office workers with long-standing back and neck complaints to athletes, expectant mothers and people who use massage as part of managing stress.

Who comes to see Kimberley

Chronic back & neck complaints

Office workers and others with long-standing musculoskeletal complaints who want a planned course of treatment rather than a one-off.

Athletes & sports injuries

Targeted remedial techniques, assisted stretching and mobility work for people who train and compete.

Pregnancy, stress & specific needs

Pre and post-natal massage, relaxation massage as part of a stress management plan, and care adapted for clients with specific needs.

Communication matters here. Our client base is culturally diverse and includes people who do not speak conversational English, so I take time at the start of every consult to understand the presenting complaint, build a care plan and explain what I am doing and why.

From the classroom to the treatment room

I wear a few professional hats: teacher, researcher and presenter of community health education programs. That background shaped how I practise. I hold a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and a Certificate IV in Community Health, and I trained as a hydrotherapist in a wellness centre before completing my Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2024.

Strictly Therapeutic is the practice I co-founded and now own, based at Wellbeing Chiropractic Baulkham Hills. In May 2024 I added a certification in pre and post-natal massage, and I attended a lymphatic drainage workshop the same year. I am a member of the Association of Massage Therapists.

Outside the clinic I am an adventurer: music to sing, beaches to explore with my family, mountains to climb, churches to visit and health talks to present. My long-haired Maine Coon cats keep me company at home.

Assess, treat, then plan the next step

A consult starts with an interview and assessment, then a therapeutic care plan built around your presenting complaint. Treatment combines remedial massage with hydrotherapy, a moist hot towel or ice compress applied to the area being worked on, plus manual therapy, assisted stretches and mobility work.

Every session ends with aftercare: exercise suggestions and self-care to strengthen and condition the muscle groups we worked on. For clients who want consistency, TheraPlan is my package of regular weekly or fortnightly sessions.

“I emphasise quality over quantity: more than a standard hour of hands-on massage, with aftercare you can take home.”
