From Masters to partner, via Cambodia
I finished my Masters of Clinical Chiropractic in 2010 and have spent the time since widening the toolkit: Diversified and Gonstead adjusting, Activator instrument work, certification in Sacro Occipital Technique, and an Advanced Diploma of Dry Needling for the muscle work stubborn problems keep asking for. I’m a member of Chiropractic Australia, and these days a partner in the practice as well.
The experience that marked me most came in 2015, when I joined a chiropractic mission trip through Cambodia. Treating people who had never had access to spinal care of any kind strips the work back to its essentials, and I came home a better listener and a more resourceful practitioner than I left.
I also hold training in equine and canine chiropractic, and helping dogs and horses stay comfortable is a real love of mine. The canine side comes to work with me: I see dogs at Pakenham as well as people, so ask the front desk if your four-legged family member needs care too. What keeps me here is the moment someone realises they’ve stopped planning their day around pain.
