AHPRA REGISTERED CHIROPRACTOR

Dr Alison Griffiths

Principal Chiropractor · Wellbeing Chiropractic Campbelltown

I’m Dr Alison Griffiths, principal chiropractor at our King St clinic in Campbelltown and a Macarthur local since my family settled here in 1986. Forty years of practice and teaching have taught me that good care rarely looks dramatic: listen properly, examine thoroughly, explain plainly, and stay long enough in one community that your patients’ children bring in their children. Between consultations I teach chiropractic students at Macquarie University, which keeps my own standards exactly where my patients need them.

40 years of practice and teaching

Dr Alison Griffiths, chiropractor at Wellbeing Chiropractic

Campbelltown

40 years in practice & teaching

Four decades of clinical work alongside the training of new chiropractors.

1986 the year her family settled in Macarthur

Campbelltown is home, not a posting. Alison has cared for this community for decades.

Private Health Insurance Onsite

All major health insurance funds, settled at the King St desk before you head back out.

What walks through the King St door

Problems with a long tenancy

Backs and necks that have grumbled for years get told they are normal. Four decades of practice says they are common, which is not the same thing, and they deserve proper assessment.

Weekend sport, weekday payback

Hockey, netball, footy and park runs keep Macarthur moving and keep Monday mornings interesting. A player, umpire and coach of 50 years reads sporting bodies fluently.

Three generations, one clinic

Grandparents, parents and kids often share a surname in the King St diary. Care that suits an 8 year old differs from care for an 80 year old, and Alison plans for each.

First visits at King St run the way Alison has taught students to run them for years: history taken properly, hands-on examination next, then an explanation that skips the jargon before any treatment is discussed. Care plans are matched to age, condition and goals, and anything better handled by a GP, a scan or a different practitioner is referred on without ceremony. Hundreds of Campbelltown patients have started exactly this way.

The Macarthur institution

Alison’s family has been part of the Macarthur and Campbelltown community since 1986, and her clinical career spans 40 years of private practice and teaching. That is long enough to have cared for hundreds of local patients, and long enough that many arrive on the recommendation of a parent or grandparent she treated decades earlier.

Alongside practice, Alison teaches chiropractic students at Macquarie University, mentoring the next generation of the profession as they move from lecture theatre to clinic. Her students learn what her patients already know: assessment before adjustment, explanation before either.

The other constant is hockey. Fifty years as a player, umpire and coach have kept her inside sporting bodies and sporting clubs her whole adult life, and made her a familiar face across the region’s healthcare network.

Assessment first, adjustment second

Alison’s consultations start with questions and hands-on examination, not assumptions. Treatment draws on four decades of manual chiropractic experience, paced to the person: firmer work for the hockey midfielder, gentler options for the great-grandmother, and clear guidance either way about what to do between visits.

Because she teaches as well as practises, explanation is a reflex. Patients leave knowing what was found, what was done and why, and what the plan is, in words that survive the drive home.

“When your chiropractor has taught the examination she is giving you, shortcuts are off the menu.”

Questions patients ask

Yes. Book online for the King St clinic or call the front desk. New patient visits run long on purpose: history first, examination second, care only after both.

She does. Alison is involved in teaching and mentoring chiropractic students at Macquarie University, which keeps her practice accountable to the standards she asks of the next generation.

Better than most. Alison has spent 50 years in hockey as a player, umpire and coach, so she knows the game’s demands firsthand and assesses sporting injuries with that context in mind.

That is the King St tradition. Alison has cared for multiple generations of Campbelltown families, with care plans adjusted for each age and stage rather than one plan stretched across everybody.

Bring your card and the front desk puts all major funds through while you stand there, leaving only whatever gap your cover leaves and no paperwork to take home.
