Dr. William Laidlaw
Dr. William Laidlow is a Melbourne-based chiropractor with a strong rehabilitation focus, combining clinical training with a deep understanding of athletic performance, load management, and injury prevention. A proud alumni of RMIT University, William was exposed to chiropractic care from an early age through his uncle, a respected chiropractor whose work inspired his passion for natural, holistic healthcare and long-term patient outcomes.
Before entering practice, William spent years immersed in the golf industry, working hands-on with everyday golfers and learning advanced biomechanics from accomplished professionals. This experience sharpened his ability to assess movement patterns, manage acute injuries, and translate high-level sporting principles into practical care for active individuals. His clinical interests include rehabilitation, athlete recovery protocols, injury management and prevention, and the management of back, neck, shoulder, foot, and ankle pain.
William’s approach is heavily informed by his background as an elite competitive swimmer, having competed at multiple Olympic Trials events, represented Victoria in interstate competitions, and trained under retired Olympic athletes alongside current Olympians. He medalled nationally in the 200m Individual Medley (2019) and competed internationally throughout California (USA). A strong advocate for patient education, William believes knowledge is one of the most powerful tools in injury prevention and recovery. Outside the clinic, he maintains an active lifestyle through running, swimming, and surfing, allowing him to genuinely relate to the physical demands faced by his patients.
